The Enterprise Service Manager (ESM) allows the installation of multiple ESM instances, which can each address different versions of FileBound and different automation tasks, all on one machine. It is replacement for the original Enterprise Services.
Upgrade Process
To upgrade an existing ESM installation, please perform the following steps:
- Stop all ESM instances from running. This can be done by right-clicking the ESM icon in the system tray > Services > [Instance Name] > Stop Service, repeating for each instance.
- Uninstall the ESM.
- Install the new version of the ESM.
- Copy all files in C:\Program Files (x86)\FileBound\ES Manager\DefaultService, except FileBoundEnterpriseService.exe.config.
- Paste the files into the ESM instances subfolders of C:\Program Files (x86)\FileBound\ES Manager\Services.
- Launch the ESM.
- Right-click the ESM icon in the system tray > Services > [Instance Name] > Start Service (or Update if required), repeating for each instance.
