Chrome Browser - Permanently Disable Caching

Important: This is a manual hack to avoid FileBound caching issues by completely removing caching functionality in the Chrome browser, however this will affect all sites not just FileBound sites, so use at own risk.

This article has been created specifically for FileBound issues whereby you are experiencing intermittent or strange behavior, this can avoid having a corrupted cache affecting FileBound. 

Please perform the following steps:

  1. Close Chrome
  2. Locate the ”Cache’ folder under "%localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache"
  3. Optional but recommended - Delete the contents of the folder "%localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache"
  4. Right-Click, Properties, [Security] Tab. [Advanced] button, [Disable Inheritance], ‘Removal All’.
  5. There should be no object listing, click [OK].[YES]. [OK] again.
  6. Now Chrome won’t be able to cache anything.
